This recipe is similar to Tandoori Chicken.  Absolutly love it once you try it !

Ingredients

2 Teaspoon(t)  ginger
1 Teaspoon(t)  kosher salt
2 Teaspoon(t)  finely grated fresh ginger
2   cloves garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon(T)  apple cider vinegar
2 Tablespoon(T)  lemon juice
1/2 Cup(c)  plain nonfat yogurt
2 Pound(lb)  extra-firm or firm tofu
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  ground chili pepper (optional

Preparation

Wrap the tofu in a cloth towel and press out the excess water.

Cut the tofu into l-inch cubes or thickly slice.

Combine the remaining ingredients in a glass or stainless-steel bowl and stir the tofu into this mixture until it is evenly coated with the marinade. Marinate for 8 to 24 hours,keeping covered and refrigerated.

Preheat the broiler. As you place the tofu under grill or broiler rack, shake off the excess marinade. Broil the tofu about 20 to 30minutes, until the yogurt begins to bubble and brown.Turn the tofu every 5 to 7 minutes so that all sides are exposed to the heat.

Cook until golden and serve warm.
