My grandma was from England, and she made these walnut cookies for us every Christmas.

4 119/2000 Gram(g)  butter
4 119/2000 Gram(g)  plain flour
2 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla essence
4 119/2000 Gram(g)  walnuts, finely chopped


Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Grease 2 baking sheets. With an electric mixer, cream the butter until soft. Add 50 grams of the sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy. Stir in the flour, vanilla essence and walnuts. Drop teaspoonfuls of the batter 1 to 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets and flatten slightly. Bake for about 25 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack set over a baking sheet and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
