Flannel Cakes And Sausage, Steigerwald

You may think this recipe similar to biscuits and gravy, but flannel cakes are far more fun to make and say!

2   eggs
1 1/2 Cup(c)  buttermilk
1 1/2 Cup(c)  sweet milk
3 Cup(c)  flour
1 Tablespoon(T)  butter
1 Teaspoon(t)  baking soda
1 1/2 Pound(lb)  smoked beef sausages


Make a batter of the above ingredients, putting the soda in the buttermilk. Beat in the eggs separately. Bake on hot griddle. Meanwhile, fry the sausages in pieces. When finished, make a gravy with milk and little flour. Serve piping hot with sausage and gravy over the flannel cake.
