Recipe Description
I like to have fresh green beans often when they are in season. Their flavor is bright and their texture crisp. They require only a minute or two in boiling water and a pinch of salt after. However, if you want something a little more interesting, give this a try. Most of the oil stays behind in the pan. And you'll have delicious beans that are a bit out of the ordinary.

Serves Tool

Serves To:USMetric
1 1/2 Tablespoon(T)  oil
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  red pepper, crushed
8 Ounce(oz)  fresh green beans
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  salt

In a small bowl, combine the oil and red pepper. Set aside. (If you have time, allow the oil and red pepper to sit for 5 to 10 minutes.) Wash the green beans and snip off the ends. Drain very well. Place the oil mixture and salt in a large skillet over high heat. Once quite hot, add the beans. Stir fry for approximately 2 minutes, until the beans are tender crisp. Remove from the oil and place on serving dish.
