Sweet tart apples and a gluten free strudel dough make for a lovely dessert. Be careful with the dough as it is very fragile to work with

1 Cup(c)  butter, melted
1 Tablespoon(T)  powdered sugar
1 Cup(c)  brown rice flour
1 Teaspoon(t)  vegetable oil
1/8 Cup(c)  cold water
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  salt
4   large apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 Cup(c)  millet flour
1 Teaspoon(t)  cinnamon
1 Cup(c)  raisins
1/4 Cup(c)  granulated sugar


In a medium bowl, mix together the brown rice flour, water, salt and oil. Lay a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet and carefully spread the batter on the parchment. Bake at 375º for 3 minutes. Remove from the oven carefully lift the dough off the parchment and transfer to another parchment lined baking sheet. While it cools, mix together the apples, raisins, cinnamon, millet flour and granulated sugar. Top the dough with the apple mixture. Brush the melted butter on the edges and carefully roll them up. Bake for 15-20 minutes until edges are browned and apples are bubbly. Allow strudel to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
