Ingredients

1 Tablespoon(T)  olive oil
1   small onion, diced
1/2   medium bell pepper, diced
8   fresh mushrooms, chopped
2 Pound(lb)  halibut steaks
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  fresh-ground black pepper
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  dried marjoram
1   medium tomato, sliced

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Heat oil in skillet on medium heat, and saute onions, bell pepper and mushrooms. Keep covered, stirring occasionally, until onions are translucent. Place steaks in baking dish, and season with salt, pepper, and marjoram. Spread sauteed vegetables over the top. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes, then cover with a layer of tomato slices. Bake an additional 5 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
