Heavenly Eggnog

Recipe Description
Definitely not a beverage for the health conscious!  This is a devilishly unforgettable treat once or twice a year.  I make it every year for New Years Eve.  In the unlikely event you have any leftover, you can keep it in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.  Just stir before serving. (1 have been known to have it for breakfast on January 1.)  Warning:  Raw eggs can be hazardous to your health.  Use only the freshest and best quality eggs.

Ingredients

1/2 Cup(c)  sugar
4   eggs, separated
2 Cup(c)  milk
1/4 Cup(c)  whiskey or bourbon
1/4 Cup(c)  rum
3 Tablespoon(T)  amaretto or kahlua
1 Cup(c)  heavy cream
1 Pinch(pn)  nutmeg, freshly grated

Preparation

In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar until thick and light yellow.  Beat in the milk, whiskey, rum and Amaretto.  In a medium bowl, using clean beaters, beat the egg whites until stiff but not dry.  In a separate bowl, beat the cream until stiff peaks form.  Fold the egg whites and whipped cream into the mixture.

Additional notes

Variation:  Substitute Spiced Rum for the whiskey.
