This easy addition to meringue cake adds a creamy filling with the tart flavor of lemon.

1/2 Cup(c)  whipped cream
1 Package(pk)  lemon pudding and pie filling (not instant)


Bake Meringue Cake as directed. Prepare pudding and pie filling as directed on package. Refrigerate about 1 1/2 hours or until chilled. Stir pudding, then spread 1 1/4 cups over meringue on 1 cake layer. Place remaining layer, meringue side up, on pudding. Spread with remaining pudding. Place whipped cream in decorating bag with star tip. Pipe on whipped cream, or garnish with whipped cream as desired. Serve within 30 minutes.
