Ingredients

3 Clove(clv)  garlic, minced
2 Tablespoon(T)  onion, minced
2 Tablespoon(T)  olive oil
1 Cup(c)  white wine
2 Cup(c)  clams and juice
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  white pepper
8 Ounce(oz)  linguine
2 Tablespoon(T)  fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 Cup(c)  parmesan cheese, grated

Preparation

In a large saucepan over medium high heat, saute the garlic and onion in the oil. Add the wine. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Add the clams with juice and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes. While the clams are simmering, cook the linguine according to package directions. Drain well. Put the linguine in a large shallow serving bowl and spoon clam sauce over. Sprinkle with the parsley. Serve immediately and pass Parmesan cheese to accompany.
