Ingredients

24 Ounce(oz)  baking apples
2   9 inch pie crusts, rolled
1/3   raisins
1/3   walnut
1/8 Cup(c)  ground cloves
1 Cup(c)  ground cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  honey
1 1/2 Teaspoon(t)  lemon juice

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

Place the bottomcrust in a pie pan. Prick the bottom of the crustand chill while preparing the pie filling. Peel, core, and slice the apples.

Toss with the lemon juice to prevent browning and to enhance flavor. Stir the honey, cinnamon, cloves, walnuts,and raisins in with the apples. Pour the apple mixture into the pie pan,mounding it in the center.

Cut second crust into strips, place the upper crust strips in desired pattern on top and pinch the edges of the crusts together.

Cut steam vents into the top.Bake for 20 minutes, until the crust starts to brown. Reduce the heat and bake at 375°P for30 minutes longer.
