Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe Description
I first had these at a church potluck.  My friend Betty made them, and I asked her for the recipe.  My family thinks these are great, and they are so easy to make in a pinch.

18 1/4 Ounce(oz)  cake mix
1 Cup(c)  semisweet chocolate chips
3 2/5 Ounce(oz)  butterscotch instant pudding
1/2 Cup(c)  sour cream
1/2 Cup(c)  vegetable oil
2/3 Cup(c)  rolled oats
1/4 Cup(c)  water
2 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla extract


Preheat oven 350 degrees F.  Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets.  In large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding and rolled oats.  Add oil, sour cream, water and vanilla.  Mix until smooth and completely combined.  Add chocolate chips. Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.  Cool cookies on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

This recipe is great. I love the use of butterscotch pudding. I would not change a thing.
