This is a great recipe to use for all of those persimmons that fall off of the tree.

1 Cup(c)  sugar
1/2 Cup(c)  shortening
1   egg, beaten
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1 Cup(c)  persimmon pulp
2 Cup(c)  flour
1 Teaspoon(t)  baking soda
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  cloves
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  nutmeg
1 Cup(c)  nuts, chopped
1 Cup(c)  raisins


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar and shortening together. Then add beaten egg. Add salt to pulp; combine with creamed mixture. Sift dry ingredients and fold in raisins and nuts; add to persimmon mix. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
