Recipe Description
The secret to this appetizer, is using a great pesto sauce. Spinach pesto packs all the flavor and tradition, but maintains a lively green color that pure basil sauces seem to lose.

17 1/2 Ounce(oz)  frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 Cup(c)  spinach pesto sauce
1   egg, beaten


Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Roll each sheet of puff pastry on a very lightly floured surface into rectangle, 14 by 10 inches. Spread 1/2 cup of the spinach pesto evenly over each rectangle to within 1/2 inch of long sides. Loosely roll pastry from narrow end. Brush edge of roll with egg and pinch into roll to seal. Cut into 1/2 inch slices, using sharp knife. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
