Recipe Description
This simple recipe can be the basis for your own variations. Add hame cheese, bacon or is like spice  peppers.

Ingredients

1 1/2 Cup(c)  half-and-half or whole milk
3   large eggs
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  white pepper
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  ground nutmeg
   9-inch pie shell
1 1/2 Cup(c)  grated monterey jack of cheddar cheese

Preparation

In a medium bowl, whisk together half-and-half, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Pour into pie shell.

Sprinkle cheese on top.

Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown, 40 to 45 minutes.

Let stand for 10 minutes.

Cut into wedges and serve.
