8 Ounce(oz)  bulk pork sausage
2 Ounce(oz)  mushrooms, coarsely chopped
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  oregano, dried
1 Pinch(pn)  pepper, freshly ground, to taste
4   english muffins, split
6 Ounce(oz)  tomato paste
1 Cup(c)  mozzerella cheese, grated


Preheat oven to 400° F. In a medium skillet over medium heat, combine sausage, mushrooms, oregano and pepper to taste, and cook, breaking up sausage with a spoon, until pink is no longer showing, about 6 to 7 minutes. Place muffin halves on a baking sheet. Spread tomato paste lightly on each half. Spoon sausage mixture on top and sprinkle with cheese. Bake until muffin edges are crisp and cheese is melted, about 10 minutes.
