Recipe Description
Asian pears, sometimes called apple pears, taste similar to pears, with the consistency of crispapples. Like apples and pears, you can use them peeled or unpeeled (although I prefer peeling them for this recipe). If you can't find them in your market, you'd be better off substituting shredded jfcama than apple or pear.

2 Cup(c)  red cabbage, shredded
1 Cup(c)  asian pears, coarsely shredded
1/3 Cup(c)  golden raisins
1 Tablespoon(T)  fresh lemon juice
1 Tablespoon(T)  extra virgin olive oil
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  salt, or to taste


Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and toss to combine. Let stand at least 15 minutes for the flavors to meld.
