Recipe Description
Viking bread can be found in most grocery stores, usually in the cracker section. If canned salmon is all that is available, add a few drops of liquid smoke to the recipe. Viking bread is a large, round cracker bread that is usually rye flavored. If you can't find cracker bread, then thinly slice a round loaf of bread horizontally and remove the crust. It is not necessary to run this under water.

8 Ounce(oz)  cream cheese, softened
1/4 Cup(c)  butter, softened
4 Ounce(oz)  smoked salmon
2   green onions, chopped
12 Ounce(oz)  viking bread


Mix softened cream cheese with butter until smooth. Add smoked salmon and green onions and mix to combine. Run each slice of Viking bread quickly under water until lightly moistened. Spread with salmon mixture and roll up. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Just before servng, cut into 1 inch pieces.
