Ingredients

1 Pound(lb)  spaghetti
1 Teaspoon(t)  olive oil
2 Clove(clv)  garlic, minced
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  crushed red pepper flakes
28 Ounce(oz)  can crushed tomatoes
1/4 Cup(c)  brine-cured olives, pitted and chopped
1 Tablespoon(T)  drained capers
1 Teaspoon(t)  dried oregano
1 1/2 Teaspoon(t)  anchovy paste
1 Teaspoon(t)  dried basil
2 Tablespoon(T)  chopped fresh parsley

Preparation

Cook the spaghetti.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a saucepan. Saute the garlic until it turns golden, but not brown. Stir in the pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute longer. Add the remaining ingredients except the parsley. Simmer this sauce until the pasta is ready (but at least 10 minutes).

Drain the pasta, put it in a serving bowl, and toss in the sauce and the parsley. Serve immediately.
