Recipe Description
Rich and fudgey, these are a delicious chocolate treat. The use of unsweetened cocoa powder and instant coffee just intensifies the rich flavor of these brownies.

1 Tablespoon(T)  instant coffee granules
1 Tablespoon(T)  vanilla extract
1/3 Cup(c)  unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 Cup(c)  flour
1 Cup(c)  splenda sugar substitute for baking
1/2 Cup(c)  butter, melted
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  salt


Combine the melted butter with the Splenda, instant coffee and cocoa powder. Add the egg and vanilla and stir to combine. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt and gently fold into the batter. Spread in a greased 9x9 pan and bake in a 325º oven for 20-25 minutes until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely, cut into 9 squares and serve.
