1 Tablespoon(T)  peanut oil
1/4 Cup(c)  shallot, chopped
2 Clove(clv)  garlic, grated
1 Tablespoon(T)  ginger root, grated
1 Tablespoon(T)  curry powder
1 Teaspoon(t)  turmeric
2 Teaspoon(t)  garam masala
2 Teaspoon(t)  basil, dried
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  coarse sea salt
1 1/2 Cup(c)  coconut milk
1 Tablespoon(T)  soy sauce
1   head cauliflower, cleaned and chopped small
15 Ounce(oz)  garbanzo beans, cooked, drained and rinsed
1   head broccoli, trimmed and steamed until tender
1 Tablespoon(T)  slivered almonds, toasted, for garnish


In a large sized saucepan, heat the oil over medium high heat.  Cook the shallot, garlic and ginger over medium heat until fragrant, about 2 minutes.  Stir in the curry, turmeric, garam masala, basil and salt.  Cook for another minute.  Stir in the coconut milk and tamari.  Bring to a boil.  Add the cauliflower, cover with a lid, and let simmer for 15 minutes, or until tender.  Coarsely mash the cauliflower.  Stir in the beans and broccoli, and let simmer for another 5 minutes.  Garnish with the slivered almonds, if desired.
