Whiskey Sweet Potato Mash

Recipe Description
This is quite a departure from traditional mashed potatoes. You won't be cooking off any of the whiskey here, so reserve this for your adults only meals (or just omit the whiskey).

1 Pound(lb)  sweet potatoes
1 Pound(lb)  red or russet potatoes
1/2 Cup(c)  brown sugar
1/4 Cup(c)  pure maple syrup
1/4 Cup(c)  non dairy butter
1/4 Cup(c)  non dairy sour cream
1/4 Cup(c)  whiskey
1 Pinch(pn)  cinnamon
1   salt, to taste
1/4 Cup(c)  pecans, toasted


Peel the potatoes and boil until fork tender. Add the brown sugar, maple syrup, butter, sour cream, whiskey, cinnamon and salt, and mash until smooth. Some lumps are okay. Fold in the pecans. Serve hot.
